The 2nd Edition of the Toscana Cup has successfully concluded, confirming the positive reception of its first edition in 2024. This international youth football tournament once again brought a vibrant mix of sporting competition, cultural exchange, and pure enjoyment for young footballers and their families to the splendid setting of Tuscany.
The Tournament saw the participation of a total of approximately 80 teams, testifying to its growing international appeal. Specifically, the Toscana Cup 2025 welcomed 5 teams from Germany, 9 from Switzerland, 13 from France, and a significant 47 from Italy. The atmosphere during the Opening Ceremony was nothing short of electrifying, with enthusiastic participation filling the square in front of the magnificent pools of the hu Park Albatros Village, the stage for the inaugural Event. Players of every nationality, accompanying managers, honored the Tournament with their sporting spirit and their passion. From a weather perspective, the Tournament enjoyed sunny and pleasant days on both Saturday, April 19th, and Monday, April 21st, while Easter Sunday, April 20th, was characterized by rain, which did not, however, dampen the enthusiasm of the participants.
For me, this 2nd Toscana Cup 2025 represented a new and exciting challenge. I had the great pleasure and honor of being the presenter for the Opening Ceremony in the evocative location of the hu Park Albatros Village on Saturday evening, and subsequently for the Awards Ceremony held on Monday at the San Vincenzo (LI) Sports Field. Being at the microphone for a youth football tournament for the first time was an incredibly rewarding and formative experience, for which I have deep gratitude.

2. Behind the scenes – The Speaker’s Control room
Fortunately, the impeccable organization made my work as a Speaker smooth and without any particular hitches. The Opening Ceremony was carefully prepared, with a first rehearsal on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 PM, followed by a second evening rehearsal at 7:00 PM with the engaging Cheerleader groups Condor Grosseto and ASD BetaFlag. Despite a slight delay on the scheduled time, with the start at 9:25 PM instead of 9:00 PM, the Ceremony took place with great participation and involvement. The intervention of the Deputy Mayor of San Vincenzo, Ms. Tamara Mengozzi, underlined the importance of the Event for the local community. The highlight was undoubtedly the evocative parade of flags accompanied by the national anthems of each participating country, a true symbol of unity and sporting brotherhood. The UEFA Respect message had a particular significance, read with emotion in Italian by Nora, one of the talented Cheerleaders, and in English by my voice. The conclusion of the Ceremony turned into a real party thanks to the engaging live DJ Set.
The Awards Ceremony, held on Monday, April 21st, 2025 at the San Vincenzo Sports Field, took place promptly at the end of the last matches of each category. In this culminating moment, the focus was not only on sporting merits and the celebration of victories, but strong emphasis was placed on respect for the opponent, a fundamental value that the Toscana Cup promoted with conviction.
2.1 What tools did I use for my work as a Speaker?
For my work as a speaker, I had professional and high-quality audio equipment provided by JDP Just Dance Party of Riccardo Marconi and Andrea Garaffa Dee Jay, whom I sincerely thank for their precious and competent technical support. Their professionalism was fundamental to the success of the events.
2.2 How did I manage the flow of information?
The organization and flow of information, both for the Opening Ceremony and the Awards Ceremony, were managed impeccably thanks to the synergy between Franco Corapi of Pieffe E20 and Valentina of Mai Dire Eventi. Their precise and careful coordination ensured that every moment took place in the best possible way. The tournament as a whole was the result of the collaboration between the experience of Euro-Sportring and the passion of ASD San Vincenzo Calcio 1946.
2.3 Importance of a well-organized direction for the success of the Tournament
A well-detailed program, provided by Euro-Sportring and expertly coordinated by Franco Corapi and Valentina, was a crucial element for the success of the Toscana Cup. The clarity of information, the precision of schedules, and the perfect synchronization between the different phases of the event allowed everyone, from staff to participants, to have a smooth and pleasant experience. Efficient direction is the backbone of events of this magnitude, ensuring that every detail is taken care of and that the event runs seamlessly. Back to Menu
